Commissioned To Pray
For the new year I am hopefully going to adhere to a prayer calendar that I was given from the church. It is a 21 day outline of prayer ideas, of course I am not going to write my prayers, but I encourage anyone who reads this blog to check out the daily outline.

Day 1 January 2, 2006
Commissioned To Pray
1 Timothy 2:1-4
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
God expects and commissions us to pray for our leaders (government). He also promises us that our lives will be impacted by it and as well the freedom for the ministry of the gospel. With that in mind begin today to pray for the elections and the government that will be established through it.
